See what happened from Fall 2006 to Spring 2007 with AIA at Brown.

Athletes In Action exists to provide a place for all student-athletes at Brown to meet together, to have fun together, to support one another, and to seek truth together.

We have large group weekly meetings, as well as small group meetings; we have retreats and conferences, as well as community service opportunities.

Although this group is comprised of mainly varsity athletes, all students are welcome to come, whether you're a current athlete, former athlete, club athlete, like athletes, or watch Sportscenter.

Definition of an Athlete

According to Webster's Dictionary:

Etymology: Middle English, from Latin athleta, from Greek athlEtEs, from athlein to contend for a prize, from athlon prize, contest

: a person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina

Question: Is that all there is to an athlete, simply mental and physical components? Or, is there more than that? Here at AIA, we believe there is more, much more. Join us as we seek to discover what it truly means to be a complete and total athlete.
