City Year for Kids is a program held during April (17-21) school vacation for Rhode Island children in grades K-5. City Year for Kids provides a free, safe and enriching environment for the children while they are on school vacation. The theme for the spring program is Survivor Week, which will be incorported into academic lessons, arts & crafts, physical/sports, and team building.
The corps is planning & running the programs but we cannot do it alone! We are currently looking for 50 adult/high school/college aged volunteers to help assist the corps in running the program, which runs similar to a summer day camp. Program is being held in Providence, Newport, and Woonsocket from 8:30am-4:00pm.
The Providence program is being held at the Met High School at 325 Public Street.
